Virag's thoughts 

Dear friends and supporters, 

I hope you are well. During the past few months as we turned into 2021, God was reminding me of this verse:

Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (Phil 3:13-14)

One of my ministries is sharing the story of an incredible little boy, our son, Luke. God prepared me to share this story and Luke was chosen to be a testimony. Growing up, all I feared in my life was death. I hated to even think about it, and I had lots of sleepless nights. For the four years our boy was with us I felt God’s help in many ways.

He took this fear away and now he is using me to talk about Luke’s death. I never would have thought that one day I would be talking about this subject. Recently I was invited to record a video conversation which will be streamed online at Easter.

How amazing is that? Easter is not just about resurrection but it’s also about the hope for tomorrow and about our resurrection that one day we will go to heaven. But we have to concentrate on the NOW. To concentrate for eternity, to be able to feel safe.

But for this we need to nurture our relationship with Jesus. We have to learn to live how Jesus lived and to live eternal life because God is carrying us in his hand. God helps us through the obstacles, even if you feel differently at that moment. But we need to find treasures in these difficulties and to cherish them and take them with us.

So we all have difficulties: Planning our coffeeshop, finding people to support this project, and people who will pray for us, but we know it’s all in God’s hand. He is already working greatly. I can see how James is struggling with his Hungarian sometimes but I’m incredibly proud of him for managing all the situations which come with the coffeeshop. Dealing with tradespeople, phoning authorities etc... We are also very grateful to everyone who’s helped us reach the £10,000 point in the fundraising or helped in other ways.

But we have happy moments too: Sophie is enjoying pre-school and she recently turned 4, and is so lovely, chatty, and full of fun at this age. We had some fun in the snow and we are really enjoying our woodburner, chopping the wood, and watching the fire - part of God’s amazing creation. So we are blessed for that here too. And our cat (Boci) keeps us entertained.
