Day of Prayer

Tuesday 11 January  As a church at the start of 2022, we face many challenges ranging from Covid to the recent news of the resignation of our Rector Mark, pushing ahead with the ROCK Project and many more. As a church we often say that everything we do should be covered in prayer, so we are asking all of our church members to set some time aside on Tuesday 11 January to pray, reflect and seek God as we consider our response to the needs and challenges that lie ahead, both individually and as a community.

Whilst anyone of us can do this in the quiet of our own homes or on a walk, it is good to come together to encourage one another in prayer and listening.  So, the church will be open on 11 January from 10am to 4pm and again at 7.30pm when there will be a time of worship and prayer. This will be an opportunity to come together to give thanks, to lay things down if necessary, to share words and insights and to seek God’s heart for the future. Please come when you can, for as long as you’re able.

'The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.'
Philippians 5: 5-7
