Financing the Rock Project
WHERE HAS ALL THE MONEY COME FROM TO PAY FOR THE PROJECT?
The ROCK refurbishment project cost to date is approx. £2.1 million and most of the money has come from the generosity of members of All Saints Church – both the living and the departed, (but mostly the living!).
The table below shows where the money has come from to date (up until the end of August 2024)
Money is continuing to come in from those maintaining their standing orders and VAT ‘rebate’. In addition to the above we have also taken out loans to the value of £310.000.
The £250k loan has to be repaid over the next 10 years. Loan repayments start at roughly £40,000 in the first year going down to £26,000 in the last year. However, the loan can be paid off much more quickly than that. At the moment we expect that by July 2025 when the final payment is made to the contractors, there will be no more money in our ROCK account – apart from continuing standing orders from church members. If you would like to and are able to help reduce the loan please do so by getting in touch with our Finance Team or by donating via our giving page.
