Staff Update
We are really pleased to announce that Naomi Cox is being promoted to ‘Facilities Manager’ at All Saints effective from 01 July 2022. Naomi started with us in the Centre office in 2015 as an apprentice on a one year course and then, on successful completion of her NVQ in Business Administration, stayed on as Centre Assistant. All Saints then took on the Weston Hub at the start of 2018 and the scope of the work increased considerably. In 2018 Naomi was promoted to Assistant Centre Manager and flourished further handling most of the day to day bookings for both buildings ably assisted by Barbara Kaehler who joined in May 2018.
In order to further develop the community use of our buildings and facilities, and in recognition of Naomi’s talents and her continuous development in the role, the management team and the PCC felt this was a natural progression for Naomi and reward and recognition for her outstanding dedication and the quality of her work throughout her time with us. We are truly blessed to have Naomi working here and wish her every success in her new role.
The Centre and Hub Manager role was previously one of Gary Oaten’s job responsibilities, but as Gary’s role has changed and broadened over the last few years, this provides the opportunity for Gary to pass that part of his job fully over to Naomi and take on other responsibilities in order to support the church and staff more fully in an operational capacity. Gary’s new job title will be ‘Head of Operations’. Gary will be taking on the roles of Health and Safety Officer and Data Controller as part of his job specification and will also be tasked with providing administration, welfare and IT support for the wider staff team. Gary will continue to oversee communications and special projects. Lisa Vernalls, who took on the All Saints bookkeeping role in 2017, was originally employed as Gary’s assistant and still has responsibilities in that role. Lisa’s new job title will be ‘Finance and Operations Officer’. Lisa now manages all the day to day bookkeeping and financial transactions for us and will be key in assisting Gary with data management tasks and special projects going forward.
It should be recognised that it’s the dedicated support and continued great work by Barbara Kaehler, Tali Garan, Simon Briffett and Peter Room that have allowed us to develop our senior staff in this way.
